Sabine River Near Gladewater affecting Wood, Smith, Gregg and Upshur Counties. Sabine River Near Hawkins affecting Wood, Smith and Upshur Counties. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Texas...Louisiana... Sabine River At Logansport affecting Panola, Shelby and De Soto Counties. For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sabine River near Gladewater. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding with some secondary roadways near the river to be closed. Also homes will be threatened with flooding and preparations should be completed for a major flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 27.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM CDT Monday was 27.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 35.1 feet Friday evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 35.1 feet on 04/29/1952. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Information: Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
