The threat of strong to severe thunderstorms will return to northwest portions of the region later tonight and expand farther southeast on Wednesday into Wednesday night. Although the primary threat tonight is damaging wind gusts, all severe modes will be possible on Wednesday into Wednesday night, including a few strong tornadoes over the northwest half of the region.
